A chance conversation in the spring of 2025 sparked what would become PREPSI. When Sameer, an aspiring graduate student, reached out to AK for guidance on his US university applications, something profound became clear.

As AK and his former college classmate Yatin (a Georgia Tech alumnus who had built his career at innovative companies like Calendly) began advising Sameer, they had a revelation: the challenges international students faced hadn't evolved in nearly two decades. The same hurdles that confronted them back in 2007 were still frustrating students today.

The complex F-1 visa process. The anxiety-inducing interview. The daunting pre-departure preparations. The overwhelming first weeks on American soil. From securing suitable housing and setting up a bank account to navigating health insurance options and finding on-campus employment – these critical milestones remained unnecessarily complicated.

This realization was both troubling and inspiring. If these challenges had persisted for so long, surely there was an opportunity to create something transformative – a solution that would make this journey smoother for the next generation of bright minds.

PREPSI was born from this insight: a platform designed specifically to guide international students through their crucial "First 90 Days" journey – the 30 days before departure and the 60 days after arrival. We envisioned a simple, intuitive system that would demystify every aspect of the international student experience.

Just two months after that fateful conversation with Sameer, PREPSI launched with a clear mission: to help students assimilate into their new life in the US with confidence and ease.
